Mysore Class

The Mysore class is a group class where students have a self-paced practice, with verbal instruction and hands-on adjustments from the teacher. Because the instruction in a Mysore class is highly individualized, it is appropriate for both new students as well as more advanced practitioners. Each student is taught and supported by the teacher as he/she memorizes the sequence and develops a personal rhythm to the practice.

Led Basic

The 60 minutes basics class is a great place to start if you are new to yoga or have never done Ashtanga yoga before. The teacher will guide you through sun salutations, standing postures, a few seated postures, and the closing series. Emphasis is on breath, bandhas (energetic locks), drishti (gaze), and alignment. Modifications are offered as needed.

Led Primary Class

This 90 minute class is for those with some experience with Ashtanga. Known as "Yoga Chikitsa" in Sanskrit, or Yoga Therapy, the Primary Series is a purifying practice that builds strength and flexibility in the body and tones the nervous system. Every breath has a movement, every movement has a breath.
